On May 15, 2000, the United Kingdom version of The Sci-Fi Channel released a series of tapes to the mass market exclusively through Virgin MegaStores. Among these releases was another of the few official releases of Sliders on video.
The PAL formatted tape contained the equivalent of four episodes of the series: "The Pilot", "Summer of Love", and "Fever" The intended airing order was followed in this compilation with the exception of "Prince of Wails." This has led many believe it not to be a coincidence that the deletion just happened to be the episode that was a satire of British culture.
